  1. Hey.

So, I guess this is where I'm supposed to give my side of the story and proof.

To make a long story short, I got a report from @Call911 today about a couple people including you. He passed some videos my way, yours too.

I think we can all agree it's highly suspicious to say the least, but because of this "choppiness", I decided to spec you myself before reaching a conclusion. So, I spectated you. Here's a little taste of what I saw:

395 connections for your account, so it seems you have managed to dodge the bullet for some time but it's game over now.

PS: Credit should be given to @Call911 for reporting this person and supplying the initial video. Thank you.

  2. Hey there.

Both of those players are not admins here, they are not even simple members. This is a bug than can happen with !notice sometimes. It usually occurs when a player labeled as "guest" tries to !notice one that is labeled as "user". For B3, a user has "1" clearance, while a guest has "0". That is why one "cannot notice admins" as you say.

In any case, I think we can consider this a misunderstanding. Thank you for taking your time to post this, player reports play a significant role in nN as I'm sure you know. The next time you wish to report someone, it would be better if you post it here. :)

May I also suggest to not jump to conclusions like that? I can assure you, noName staff is full of professional admins who would never show this kind of behavior.

    Best regards.

PS; The chatlogs of that Poka guy are awful. Using 333fps as well which is against our rules. I gave the player a 7 day ban. Let's see if he/she learns.

  3. Hello guys.

A lot of times there are new players on our servers and upon their connection they instantly type "!fpson" or "!fov" and so on. Once they see that nothing happens they ask if this server doesn't support this kind of commands. As a SA with access to Echelon, I see that many players use workarounds to get higher FoV or the aforementioned fullbright.

Toggling through fullbright and a couple FoV values seems to be a highly requested feature by many players on all our servers due to the advantages it offers (better performance, etc).

So, what's your opinion people? Do you think such commands would increase our playerbase and popularity if they do get implemented?

  4. I've always treated that spot on Crossfire as a "glitch" and thus punished those using that spot as our no glitching rule suggests. Here's my reasoning/opinion;

While it's true that the game is old and most people playing it are veterans and so they are aware of this spot, it is also true that the Crossfire server gets a lot of beginners since it's so high ranked on gametracker. Besides a positive gaming environment we do and should strive to provide an even playing field on all aspects as well, whether that is hacks, glitches or anything else.

For me half of the problem with spots like that is that a beginner will never see it coming. That balcony looks unreachable for a newbie. No internal staircase/ladder of any sort nor any obvious jump that lead there. Think about it yourself, you have to even climb the ledge in a specific way so you don't fall down in the first place. It's not a spot you can "discover" after playing around a bit. So moving back to our beginner, do you think he's going to check a balcony/spot he thinks is off limits? No chance he will and when he finds out he's getting killed from there, imagine the reaction. "Unfair" is probably the first word to come to mind.

The other half of the problem is that while the map has many spots/jumps that a promod player could use that balcony is the only one that one can consistently use to get kills - it's very easy to be abused and those that do go there, camp, instead of picking up 1 - 2 kills and continue with their rotation/movement. That practice ends up magnifying the problem even further in my opinion.

In any case,  I've always treated it as an off limits spot and was never told not to by a higher up.

  5. When it comes to gaming, my time is mostly invested in multiplayer games rather than story rich, singleplayer games and so on. Having said that, I had been thinking about getting a couple titles during these sales like, the newest Life is Strange game, the Thief franchise, a sequel to one of my VN's, and CoD2 due to memories and because I lost my physical copy. Got a glimpse of a few very appealing indie games as well.

In the end, I didn't pick up anything. Reason for this is that during last summer's sales, I paid a little over â‚¬300 for games. Obviously, I ended up with numerous titles the majority of which I have not yet played/finished. Admittedly, my to-play list is quite sizeable even after a year and after contemplating on it, I decided to play/finish the titles on the list before expanding it.

  6. Hello.

Checked his chatlogs. Very few connections, no prior penalties at all and barely any chatlogs whatsoever. I'd warn him for these logs, maybe kick him at most, but I certainly don't feel like a ban is deserved here.

In any case, thank you for your efforts. :)
