Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered: 5 Things to Know
In addition to a new 2016 Call of Duty game Infinite Warfare, there is a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered release that will bring a classic Call of Duty 4 game to the newest consoles this fall.
The original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare arrived in 2007 from Infinity Ward, redefining the Call of Duty experience. This year the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare release date brings a new experience that the team believes will bring the biggest changes to the game since Modern Warfare, but it also comes with a throwback.
If you buy a special edition of the 2016 Call of Duty game you will also get Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered so that you can play through this game with better graphics and on your current consoles.

Everything you need to know about the COD 4 remaster that arrives this fall as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.
After months of rumors, this is confirmed and you will be able to play it this fall. We are starting to learn very important Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered details that gamers need to know.
While many people in the community are focused on the new COD 2016 game, we know a lot of players want to go back to boots on the ground combat with an amazing story experience and fun multiplayer. For these gamers, the biggest COD release this year is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.
We’ll walk through what we know about the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered release date, what the game contains, who is making it and offer up some visual comparisons to help you understand what is coming.
Your stats will not transfer over from Call of Duty 4 on Xbox 360 or PS3 to the new game. There will be dedicated servers for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered multiplayer mode.

The in game movement will stay true to the original game, so you don’t need to worry about advanced movement and chain based movement getting in the way of your favorite game.

At this stage we don’t know anything about a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered beta or demo.
Here is everything you need to know about the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered release date that comes in fall 2016 with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Release Date

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered release date is November 4th alongside Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare according to all the information that we have at this time.
With a new Call of Duty 4 Remastered release date coming this year, fans will not only get to play a new Call of Duty 2016 game, but also go back to a classic that delivers boots on the ground fun.
The Modern Warfare Remastered release date comes at the same time as Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, but that isn't a concern to the developers. In an interview with Forbes we learn about new maps and what Infinity Ward studio head Dave Stohl has to say about these games coming out at the same time.
"If you think about it, basically they scratch two different itches. You’re gonna scratch the kind of more nostalgiaModern Warfare itch with the remaster, but all the kinda cool new stuff in Infinite Warfare is really exciting too. Obviously the Infinite Warfare experience is big with all the new bells and whistles, but it’ll be fun to go back toModern Warfare multiplayer as well.”
Raven Software is responsible for the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered release. The company helped Infinity Ward with Modern Warfare 3, Ghosts and plays a large role in the Call of Duty: Online game that is available in China.

Can I Buy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Alone?

From the early reactions to Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, we are hearing a common question from gamers.
People want to know if they can buy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered alone. Ideally there will be a special Modern Warfare Remastered digital version available for gamers to buy, but it's not clear if that will happen.

Activision confirms that you can only buy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
While there may be a chance to get a code from someone else, the FAQ states, "You must own Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in order to get Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered."

There may be some kind of system check to make sure you have Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Versions

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered release is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC so no one is left out.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare originally released on Xbox 360 and PS3, and there is no chance that you will see a remastered version for these consoles. Even through graphics improved over the life of these consoles this is focused on the current generation of consoles and PC.

We expect a timed exclusive for Infinite Warfare that will bring DLC to the PS4 first, but there is not any indication that PS4 owners will get to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered before Xbox One or PC at this point.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered Graphics

Unlike some game bonuses that just include the old version of a game that can run on a newer console or PC -- this is a remastered Call of Duty 4 release.
That means that the graphics are ready to impress, and should live up to what you are used to on the Xbox One, PS4 and current gaming PCs. Here's a comparison of the trailer and of the old game.

    In a press release about the game we learn some details about the upgraded graphics;
"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered boasts vibrant current generation visuals, with fully improved texture resolution and detail, high-dynamic range lighting, lit and shadowing VFX particles, revamped animation and audio, stunning sound, and much more"

The video above is from the tail end of the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare trailer, and shows off the new upgrade graphics of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered game.

    What's in Modern Warfare Remastered?

Now that we know the Call of Duty 4 Remastered release is actually happening, it's time to look at what you get with this game. First off, this is only the first game, there is no Modern Warfare 2 Remaster like one rumor originally stated.
You get to play the full campaign in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. This includes all of the missions including All Ghillied Up, Charlie Don't Surf and Crew Expendable.  In Short, this is the same campaign you loved, but the graphics are getting a huge upgrade.
There is also a Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered multiplayer component that will allow you to relive some of your favorite maps and online gameplay. Ther video below shows gameplay in Overgrown from the original game.

While there were a total of 20 Modern Warfare maps with DLC involved, not all of them are making it to the remastered version of the game. With Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered you will get 10 multiplayer maps. We know that this includes

      -- Crash
      -- Backlot
      -- Crossfire
      -- Bog
      -- Overgrown

We don't know anything else about the other 5 maps. We also don't know if more Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered maps will will come with the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare DLC.

In addition to these modes and single player, the game features full multiplayer progression for weapons, perks, attachments and support for Master Prestige.

  9. Lootje liked a post in a topic by Runny in Useful things about fps :D
Heres some things you may didnt know about fps.

Influence of FPS on the height of the jump

63 fps and less - you jump 39.5 units max (except 52 and 55 fps. These results are similiar to 71 fps)

71 fps. Your character jumps permanently 40 units. 40.5 is impossible on this value, same for 76 fps

    83 90 and 100 fps - 39.5 units again

    111 fps - 40 and 40.5 are easily surmontable

    125 fps - 41 units

    142, 166 and 200 fps - strangely again 39.4 units max.

    250 fps - 42 units !

    333 fps - 46 units !!!

500 fps - bugged value, your character runs silently and jump 35 units if near the object, 39 if distant from the object.

    1000 fps - almost like 500 fps

Influence of FPS on the damage of falling

    We've 4 walls of different heights: 140, 200, 300 and 350 units.
Results: (firstly the fps value, in brackets the wall's height and finally the damage of falling)

    140 units' wall
    71 (140) - 4
    91 (140) - 8
    100 (140) - 6
    110 (140) - 4
    125 (140) - 2
    200 (140) - 6
    250 (140) - 1
    333 (140) - 0

    200 units' wall
    71 (200) - 39
    91 (200) - 44
    100 (200) - 41
    110 (200) - 38
    125 (200) - 35
    200 (200) - 41
    250 (200) - 34
    333 (200) - 22

    300 units' wall
    71 (300) - 96
    91 (300) - dead
    100 (300) - 98
    110 (300) - 94
    125 (300) - 91
    200 (300) - 98
    250 (300) - 88
    333 (300) - 72

    350 units' wall
    71 (350) - dead
    91 (350) - dead
    100 (350) - dead
    110 (350) - dead
    125 (350) - dead
    200 (350) - dead
    250 (350) - dead
    333 (350) - 97

Ordering FPS from the useful to the useless:
    333, 250, 125, 110, 76, 71 (similiar values: 34,42,52,55), 100 (similiar values: 10,17,20-23,25,36,40,41,50,67 and 200), 15 (similiar values: 24, 31,32,37,38,45,48,63), 59 (weird value), 91,83 (similiar values: 166), 142. 500 FPS is the highest (your character get the biggest damage from falling ).

Influence of FPS on the silent run's ratio
Now we want to find a formula which combines ms and fps. For example: we need a script which allows our character to move forward for 30ms, but depending by the fps value he will move to different distances. As well as with 333 fps and 30ms our character moves just for 3 units, with 125 fps he will moves 20 units!
Here we have the maximum distance you can reach running silently:

    SMG, sniper and shotgun:
    - Moving forward (maximum speed 190 units par second) :
    333 FPS - 80 (79 silent) (264 ms)
    250 FPS - 81 (81 silent) (186 ms)
    200 FPS - 87 (87 silent) (167 ms)
    167 FPS - 70 (70 silent) (107 ms)
    142 FPS - 70 (70 silent) (92 ms)
    125 FPS - 73 (72 silent) (84 ms)
    111 FPS - 66 (65 silent) (68 ms)
    100 FPS - 67 (66 silent) (61 ms)
    90 FPS - 69 (68 silent) (58 ms)
    83 FPS - 63 (62 silent) (48 ms)
    77 FPS - 65 (64 silent) (46 ms)
    71 FPS - 66 (65 silent) (43 ms)

    - Moving right or left (max. 152 units/sec)
    333 FPS - runs silently
    250 FPS - 68 (68 silent) 210 ms
    200 FPS - 68 (68 silent) 171 ms
    167 FPS - 75 (75 silent) 155 ms
    142 FPS - 56 (56 silent) 99 ms
    125 FPS - 58 (57 silent) 91 ms
    111 FPS - 60 (59 silent) 81 ms
    100 FPS - 54 (53 silent) 66 ms
    90 FPS - 54 (53 silent) 60 ms
    83 FPS - 57 (57 silent) 57 ms
    77 FPS - 52 (51 silent) 47 ms
    71 FPS - 52 (51 silent) 46 ms

    - Moving backward (133 units/sec) :
    333 FPS - 50 (49 silent)

    83 FPS - 42 ( 41 silent)

    77 FPS - 40 (39 silent) 54 ms
    71 FPS - 38 (37 silent) 48 ms

It may be complicate to understand. Here's the explanation: 142 fps - 44 (43 silent) 116 - it means that with 142 fps and the value of time based on the 116ms' script your character moves to 43 units without any noise - and makes noise starting from the 44th unit.
Sometimes (if you're lucky) the 'silent' time is the same as the 'noise' time.

Doubt remains about 333 FPS: maybe the 'silent' time is higher than the stamina. Except for the assault class, which makes noise if moving backward

Soooo, I love Star Wars and love playing games. Today I played the BETA and I freaking loved it! I played it on pc (ultra settings) and could run it with an solid 60 fps or more.

    My specs:
    AMD FX-8320
    R9 280x 3gb
    Corsair 2x4gb (8gb total) RAM
    The rest is useless.

So if anyone was planning to buy or play the game, the recommended specs are overkill, you dont need super high end videocards or 16gb of ram or a very decent i7 processor.
But back to the game. I played coop with a friend and this was a survival gamemode (like mw3 survival but this time with lasers and stuff). Keep in mind that because of the BETA you can only go till wave 6. So I dont recommend u playing coop because it's way too short. Besides that I've played the mutliplayer on a map called Hoth. It's a snow themed map. The goal for the imperial empire is to make it to the end with 2 huge AT-ATs. And ofcourse it's up to the rebels to destroy these things.
I haven't played the mode "drop zone" so I have no clue about that.
I highly recommended u to check this game out. The BETA is free and open till sunday i gues. Hope u enjoyed this small review. :)

Ow btw: you can play as a jedi. Luke or darth vader.
