press SHIFT + ~  , it opens a bigger console. then use PG UP / PG DOWN to navigate
  2. Blitz liked a post in a topic by Puddingsbane in Some tips on how to catch if someone is hacking
Crossfire has been one of the breeding grounds for hackers, high player count server, lot's of opportunity to ruin someones fun. It can be pretty hard to spot a hacker in the midst of all that chaos and from what I've seen a good amount of players being reported for let's say wallhacks aren't actually hacking. It's the shear frustration of dying over and over again from a spam of lmg wallbanging fire that make these kinds of reports. So I want to share on how I approach the situation when I come online to check the servers:

    1. Observation - Sitting in spectators and keeping a keen eye on anything suspicious (tracking, movement and so on). Going from player to player, no matter if they are a regular on the server or not, take your time and observe because jumping to conclusions won't get you anywhere. It's not just observing players but also keeping an eye on kill feed for hacking activity i.e. a lot of headshots/kills from a same person in a short period of time, what weapon they use (this one is also a tell if someone is hacking but later on that). Sometimes kill feed will bug out and show just a few kills so we'll have to use something else which brings us to

    2. Sound cues - When I connect I listen to the sounds of weapons being used. From my experience hackers mostly use LMG's, G3, M14, AK47, M16, P90, Deagle. And going by that fact I check those players first, mostly it ends up by catching someone having aimbot or wallhack. Also differentiate the sounds of M14 and M21, Uzi and M9, tho they sounds similar there is a slight difference in firing sounds. So when you hear a full auto weapon that's actually semi auto in game that way you'll know what to look for and immediately jump to the player using that gun,, plus keeping an eye on that kill feed may help you on finding the guy even faster.

    3. Weird player names or symbols in names - Seeing a player on a player list with such name doesn't mean he's hacking but you never know, so coming online check those first you may be surprised on what you stumble upon ;). Either they are trying to make your life harder when you try to ban or search through the database or they just slam their forehead on the keyboard when creating a profile because they don't care.

    4. Do more runs - I personally check each and every player for about 20-30 times, maybe one of them was clean the game before but that doesn't mean he's clean in the next one or this way you'll catch something that you may have missed before

    5. Prioritize -  Getting in the game don't go straight to screaming at campers and players who insult over the chat, you have time to fry the little fish after you've done your sweep for the big gain which are aimbotters and wallers.

    6. Don't hide behind your admin title - We all get power hungry sometimes and admin privileges will do that to you. It's good to know you can end someone with just a button press over a keyboard but be civil, don't get coocky. No need to flash that shiny admin badge every time when someone says "fuck" or "god dammit" over chat. When players know they have an awesome admin watching their back and making a server better place for them they will come back, and you will have their respect which makes your job a lot more easier believe me.

    7. Doon't let your rage of dying cloud your judgement - this one is self explanitory, just because you died it doesn't mean everyone is hacking.

Let's say god bless all but not the hackers.

Seriously we all hate getting killed by a dumb guy. So let's talk about how far a dumb guy can go to kill you, no not with the gun. We are going to discuss some of the tricky hackers that I found annoying on the server. No doubt, the admins have always been very quick to respond and act and their support is really appreciated.

But there are the moments when you see a hacker and server team seems to be not working for you. Yep, it's true, I had some bad experiences regarding players that uses some sort of tools or hacks. It's sure that you could have seen hundreds of good/bad hackers out there. But today let's talk about some tricky hackers. Hackers which finds it so easy to get away with and turn the rules into dust(struggling with English)

    Tricky Hacker # 1

Above all, are the hackers who left the game when reported because servers tells them that they had been reported. And when admin arrives, you know what's next xD

    Tricky Hacker # 2

Let's say you remove every character from your name and then join the server? the answer is that your name will be auto renamed to UnamedPlayer. But unfortunately, that thing doesn't apply to some of the players. There are some players maybe(steam players) without any name. And the fact that our so-called !notice command requires a name or part of the name to work makes it useless.

    Tricky Hacker # 3

There are some players who even trick the server reporting system. They actually add a dummy player with the same name on the same server. For example, let's say from my second computer I start the game and join the server with the same name(e.g I N V A L I D). So I'll end up having two players with the same name on the same server. Whenever someone adds a notice to I N V A L I D he/she will run into error explaining there are two matching players with the name I N V A L I D, please be specific. To be honest, I didn't find any way to add notice at that time.

    Tricky Hacker # 4

Now it's time for final discussion. I know some of you here will agree and some of you will not. Yep, because it's time for admins or some higher level players. Believe it or not, I have seen some admins using hacks. I don't want to name any one of them in particular but I'm sure that some of the higher level players are using hacks(not always, sometimes they do). There is no way of adding a notice to them. Because the other admins are simply not ready to believe that some members of the admin group can do the hack. Their reply is useless: We had the best admins who play like hell. Well, that's not true for all admins.

Edit: I agree that admins don't hack here because they are highly trained and monitored by the head admins and so on. The guy I was trying to notice def. not admin here. He was group user on the server that's why server didn't allowed me to add notice to him. Thank you for clearification noname.

To conclude, I would say that the overall administrative structure is superb and works most of the time. I would love to see your views or maybe some other types of tricky hackers.

Edit: Please make sure to read the thread further, QuickBreakdown resolves the misunderstanding and explained how to deal with the above mentioned tricky hackers. Thank you very much QuickBreakdown.

Tricky Hacker # 1: record evidence before adding the notice
Tricky Hacker # 2: open console and use $ministatus to see player ID for noticing
Tricky Hacker # 3: same as above
Tricky Hacker # 4: !register on the server, if problem persists contact an admin in shoutbox or Discord

    good observations nontheless

    Hey ,

Guys already mentioned that you can report cheaters in shoutbox or even record a video of his gameplay and make a ban request if no one is online.

When speaking about #4, did you run into an issue when you tried to notice someone and you received a message that you "can't notice higher lvl admin"? If so, it can also occur when you !notice the player who has the same level as you = user. It might be confusing but doesn't mean he's admin or member of ours.

Anyway, feel free to report in case if you see some hacker, we're here to make sure the right guy will be banned ;) http://noname.zone/index.php/forum/35-ban-request/

    Hello,

Well I agree with trick #2 and #3, but let's jump ahead, if you are not able on server to use !notice command, feel free to ask/complain on forum shoutbox or new topic. Some of us are online there in any time.

For trick #4 I don't have comments, why always admins hacks, so admins should play like bots that you could get higher score (nothing personal). We all have our way of playing, different skills, angles of shooting and more.

Nothing more to add, except that if you think that admins " use hacks " make demo of it send to HeadAdmins or RedAdmins, they will discuss about it and let you know their conclusion.

    Have a wonderful day sir,
    Take care. :)

First of all, that site is really impressive, great work by the server team. I really enjoy the nN/Crossfire TDM HC, COD4 and that's the only reason why I'm here.

Apart from playing games, I do little programming for my livings.

I would say thank you so much for letting me in forums and I would love to continue as a part of such a lovely community.
