  1. Yeh I know most probably I will have to as its a 2nd gen ryzen. But its not that hard, just a bootable usb

one little problem tho, you will need a gen 1 ryzen cpu to flash it unless it doesn't say on your board it's ryzen 2 ready then it's ok. some motherboard manufacturers allow bios flash without cpu over USB and bios flashback button on the back IO or on the board it self but most don't have that feature (specifically AMD boards, that feature is found only on Intel ones like Z370, 170, 270 and higher end boards...). if you put your gen 2 ryzen there's a high chance the board will not recognize the cpu and the system won't post. Some manufacturers like asus started to update their boards BIOS when ryzen 2  launched so it says on the packaging it's compatible and ready with ryzen 2 chips. keep that in mind mate.

Because of that AMD partners will, in near future, ship boards with bios flashback feature.

  2. Thanks! I just used it to build one that I want, I looked for the parts on amazon and the total was 668 USD, with this webpage is 613 USD. I just probably have to flash BIOS, but thats ok

You'll definitely need to flash the BIOS to a newer version unless the store updates it by them selves. There's a PC shop here that as soon as they get new motherboards in stock they update the BIOS to the latest version to make it a more painless experience for the consumer when he buys from them. Kudos to those guys, they'll do everything for you and free of charge.

  3. For comparison, check mine. It should give you a rough idea of the things the board offers considering her form factor

Higher end board have better and more durable components on them, better power delivery and overall more stable power throughput of the entire system. That's why they are considered as an enthusiast boards. I only payed for mine some 30$ more than @MasterYI for his, what i'm trying to say is you can get this kind of hardware for little to none money (considering their original cost, this one in particular is around 360$ in Croatia) if you know where to look.

  4. Well the size itself of a micro atx board can be a pro and a con at the same time. It allows you to build in a smaller case can save you some money if you choose to go with micro atx board, they are cheaper than their full atx counterpart. Cooling and dissipating hot air on a micro atx system is much harder because all of the components are crammed together in one tight space, so the components will run hotter than full atx tower builds. Most don't support SLI/Crossfire because of the number of PCI-E lanes the board has (depends on the model of the board really). Micro atx usually comes with only 2 RAM slots and can't support higher speed memory or run it in let's say quad channel configuration. Some features are also removed from it like the number of USB, SATA connectors, storage expandability and so on. Also a bunch of them don't support overclocking (depends on the model of the board again). Still does what it was supposed to.

  5. The "serving side" hasn't showed the proof of you using some sort of cheat yet. You came here with a negative attitude from the start of this thread, how do you even expect us to react on such bullshit behaviour? And you are calling us arrogant? You will get what you give, and you came here with nothing but rudeness and contempt. The host is as good as the guest, if your approach was any different we would have a much different conversation.

So yea, keep patiently waiting.....in silence, until proof has been provided.

  6. 1. It can't because it shows absolutely nothing and you can't prove that it's the same one when you got hit in the head by the ban hammer.

    2. You should really behave yourself because you are the one asking us to unban you.

You will wait like all the rest until the proof has been provided by the admin who banned you. So sit back, relax and don't be a dick to others. Being a keyboard warrior won't help your case at all, so by all means please continue. One less to worry about.

  8. UPDATE:

Motherboard arrived few days ago!! Asrock Fatality X370 Gaming Professional Series. Got it extremely cheap (I'm a bastard and a prick at negotiating PC hardware prices, and a proud one I must say) only 100$ for a over 300$ board. And in about 2 weeks (heard from a guy today) the Ryzen 7 1800X is arriving as well, again got it cheap for just shy over 200$. Will post screens and aida reports when it's done ;)

  9. "It's the first Intel processor to deliver up to 5.0Ghz single-core turbo frequency performance" one little problem tho, it can't lol. The motherboard they were using was a socket P mobo with an LGA 3647 which is the same as the Xeon motherboard and it's clear that they took the existing Xeon grade processor and repositioned as a desktop part and the CPU in question is probably, most likely, an intel 8176 platinum which is a Skylake-X processor....Not new. And when asked, intel didn't neglect the note of the cooling solution they were using to achieve the said frequency, they used a chiller behind the scenes hidden from the eyes of others that was holding the constant -10 C, so you are looking at mid 50's to low 60's in working temps on the cpu (WITH 28 CORES AND OC TO 5GHZ, AT MID 50'S ON WATER, NOPE!). Overclocking a 28 core cpu to 5ghz on liquid cooling will result in system instability, blue screens and system hangs without some sort of exotic cooling solution like for instance LN2 or in this case a chiller.

This was a last minute panic change in response to Threadripper 2, and a lame one at best. Even at lower frequencies this thing would be extremely difficult for a consumer to cool. Hope this sheds some light on things.

  12. It smells like OC to me

Nope, I'm getting wattage errors sometimes and it randomly looses display but keeps working with a black screen. My guess is the GPU takes a little more the PSU can handle at higher loads and it crashes my drivers, that's why. I've always go with a premiss that there's no such thing as too much PSU wattage, better have more than less.

EDIT: Same thing is happening with my RX 470 8GB rig, but that's the known issue with AMD 400 series of cards.

  13. nice enough build

why would you want to upgrade

First and foremost because I have a small addiction problem considering PC hardware, and second I'm lacking the SSD and with the new 1803 windows build i am experiencing slower boot and load times than before. And with my current hardware I think that Asus B250 board is just weighing down the potential of the other components, it's not a bad board but it's mediocre at best and lacks a lot of useful features some higher end ones have. PSU wise I need extra juice just in case.
