  1. A 'Game Of Thrones' Video Game Could Be On Its Way

The dust hasn't even settled yet on the mind-blowing ending to season seven (with plenty of questions left for viewers at home) but there may be something to fill this new Games of Thrones-shaped void in our lives.

Following news that the next season could be over 12 months away, and perhaps offsetting the realisation that the TV schedules will look a little empty for some time yet, a video game could now be in the offing.

One eagle-eyed web-surfer, named 'That Damn Kid' on NeoGaf, spotted that the US supermarket Target currently has a listing up on its website entitled: 'Bethesda: Game Of Thrones'. Bethesda are, of course, the guys behind the Skyrim and Fallout games.

Bethesda is known to have two unnamed, large-scale products in the works - one of which has been suggested to be a Game Of Thrones video game.

And, with the company having previously stated that there won't be any new Elder Scrollsgames 'anytime soon', the way could already have been paved for a new GoT title.

The video games company is well positioned with its successful history of action-combat games.

    Sounds exciting, eh ?

  2. Acer's Predator 21 X puts a curved screen and dual GTX 1080s in a laptop !

    http://static3.uk.businessinsider.com/image/57cdb29add089591538b45d6-1200/the-acer-predator-21x-is-the-first-laptop-to-come-with-a-curved-display-its-a-2560-x-1080-resolution-ips-screen-with-a-219-aspect-ratio-a-normal-1080p-screen-with-a-169-aspect-ratio-would-have-1920-x-1080-pixels-but-the-21xs-screen-needs-extra-pixels-for-the-extra-width.jpg

Acer’s new Predator 21 X is a monster. Not only have this machine’s designers put a curved 21-inch display on a laptop for the first time ever, they’ve also gone and given it two GeForce GTX 1080 GPUs as well. Add in five cooling fans, a 7th-generation Intel Core K-series processor, and space for as much as four terabytes of SSD storage, and you have a laptop that’s beyond obscene.

Unveiling the 21 X at IFA in Berlin today, Acer acknowledges that this laptop is more of a proof of engineering acumen than any sort of "big seller" retail product. Each Predator 21 X will be made to order, starting in January of next year (which is how Acer can advertise today that it will have an Intel CPU that technically hasn't yet been announced). Among its other cool features and specs, there's also room for four DD4 slots that top out at 64GB of RAM, Tobii eye-tracking, a mechanical keyboard, a 4.2 sound system, a window to show off one of the big fans, and a numpad that flips over to turn into a touchpad. Oh, and it also has an SD card slot. How practical!

Seeing the 21 X in person is a hilarious but also charming experience. We often say gaming laptops are ridiculous, but this one — with its gaping upside-down smile generated by the gap between the keyboard and the curved screen — is that extra bit more ludicrous. How do you even begin to judge or weigh the merits of such an outlandish creation? At 8kg, the 21 X weighs more than seven of Acer's newly introduced Swift 7 laptops, offering the direct opposite to the Taiwanese company's ultrathin portable.

    Specs (not confirmed !) :

    - Intel Core 7th-Gen "Kaby Lake"

    - 2x Nvidia GTX1080M

    - 64 Gb RAM (4*16Gb DDR4)
    - 4Gb SSD storage

    - Cost : between 3000 and 5000 $

  4. Hello nN,

I have played Ci5 S&D server for years and it attracted a lot of good players. I think we can have similar players and fun in nN with such modifications to the server :

    - Only 4 maps : Crossfire, Crash, Backlot, Strike

    - Remove the RPG not allowed perk

    - Make more events on it to make it known

What do you think ?I was playing on it with the map Backlot, then the next one was Bloc, and everyone left ! 10 people !!

I think we should reduce the number of maps...

  5. All the best Substanz for this year, which will be for you a great year, an I hope with new opportunities and courage to let go of the past...This year will be exciting with the new COD4 remastered, which was the game that could create this community. It will be like a new nN, brand new !!! Isn't it great ?

    Un excellent anniversaire,

    La bise my friend.

  6. FURI (2016)

Fury is a french video game (made in Montpellier, Cocorico !) where you have to beat 9 bosses to get out of Prison.

    Description

Fight your way free in our frenzied all-boss fighter, and discover what’s waiting behind the last gate. Furi is all about the tension of one-on-one fights against deadly adversaries. It’s an intense, ultra-responsive game with a unique mix of fast-paced sword fighting and dual-stick shooting. Each of the formidable guardians —designed by Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki— has a unique and surprising combat style that requires focus and skill to defeat. The high-energy action gets a boost from an explosive soundtrack composed by electro musicians Carpenter Brut, Danger, The Toxic Avenger, Lorn, Scattle, Waveshaper and Kn1ght.

    History

Furi has been inspired by Japanese games such as No More Heroes, Metal Gear Solid and Godhand, and is the result of my desire to capture the combined moment of fright, passion and adrenaline you feel when in a fight. Furi is a skill-based game. The diversity of opponents and attack patterns is there to make the player refine his or her skills and get better and better, instead of increasing the character’s stats or his weapons. Ultimately, feeling your skills improve, as a player, is what feels best in a video game.

    Features

    • You can slash with your sword, shoot with your gun, dodge and parry. That’s about it.
    • You can also charge the slash attack, the gun shot and the dodge.
    • Once you’ve got that, you can play!
    • There’s no limit to how much you can improve, it’s simple and deep.
    • The challenges are based on a simple formula: get warned – react – punish.
    • The depth comes from the differences between the guardians. It’s about how you play a few moves differently to beat a different opponent.
    • Original soundtrack available on furi.bandcamp.com and soon on most digital stores and Steam

What I love about this game ? Well, I tried it on PS4, and the fight system rocks ! It's a VERY VERY hard game (comparable to Dark Souls III) and beating those bosses requires patience and determination. But the best thing about this game is the music.

The songs are all written for the game, and by ones of the most talented french DJs of their generation: DANGER, The Toxic Avenger, Carpenter Brut. It is typical French Touch, with a large inspiration from 80's sounds. Some of my favorites :

    Carpenter Brut - Enraged

The Toxic Avenger - My only chance

    DANGER - 8:02

  7. I have it !!!

    And it's a hell of a beast !

Not much gaming for now. As I told you, when my previous HDD crashed with all my games and I have to download them all. My connection is horrible (I live in the countryside when not in Lyon), so it takes a lot of time.
I calculated I have to download 160Gb of Games from Steam, and I have 4Mpbs. It dowloads 1.5 Gb... every hour. If you do the math, it need 106 hours to dwl, which means at least 2 weeks (I don't dwl 24/7).

I have reinstalled COD4, and it works well with G-sync (75Hz equals to 75fps)
