Are you sure, it's real information? I never heard of it. I have installed windows 10 right now and everything works fine. At the beginning I had problems with games (-200fps in cod4), but after install graphic drivers for windows10 all games works better, cod4 works same as before with windows7. The myth of incompatibility busted ^^ Regarding to illegal copies of games. I don't see any changes. I can startup apps same as in windows7 and I don't feel any restrictions of my software.
