Well very good job on testing it with the battery ! so u know it's only the loading ic Good luck on fixing , on my old msi laptop it was also that one who blew up . But i've let it repair in center, i didn't have a good soldering unit. 2€ for the ic , 13€ work, put it back together and ... the IC caught fire when on power :d So someting else was bad 2, i bought a new laptop then I hope for you it's an easy fix, let us know :)

@SirYi Picture 2) This is the power jack which connects to the mobo via a cable have you checked the wires at the power jack side , below the tape? maybe a bad connection there? I saw a video like yours when a soldering was lose Otherwise i don't know what to try , remove ram , hdd , dvd station and try to boot ( i hope you hear beep sounds, then you know the bios is still good and responding) if not i gues it will be game over Have a nice day i hope Grtz Dettie

my parents in law had a old laptop wich the power jack has failed, i couldn't find a new one,so i soldered an old adapter straight on the mainbord. The laptop was 18v - 3.4 amp = the adapter i soldered is 18V - 6,1 Amp The laptop is still alive atm and in use for like 4months like this ;) -------------------------------------- - i read it only lights up, but no response at all, remove the laptop battery, and try again only with the power cord ( my neighbour had a bad battery, his laptop turned on but did nothing, this was the fix ;) so 0,5 v and 0,3 amp more shouldn't have fried t
