    Someone can tell me the reason of using vpn in games, except bypassing the ban? I don't get it  :hmm:

     

    Display the language based on IP is best idea for me. Everyone knows about !rules existence, but not everyone about !rules [lang]. Can be both options tho.

    Recently I asked Subs to put geoip file (from March I guess) for welcome messages and multi-language on Deathrun, so It's possible to do something like that

     

    Many reasons, I am using VPN, half of time, when I am using my laptop because some websites are blocked in my country (and I am regulary not turning it off) and I know that many people in my country doing same. And of course there could be many other reasons of using it, and people will get some weird symbols instead of server rules.

     

    And yes, I don't know real amount of VPN users, but saying from my front of view.

     

    If someone think that I am talking of smth stupid - just say, my words may be mistake.

    maybe there is a way to set the rules command to display the  language  you use based on IP?  as I noticed it tells the country of every joining player

     

    so that if  !rules is used  every player gets the text in their own language ?

     

    It could work, if some people haven't used VPN. But maybe command may have parameters, for example "!rules" without any parameters - as default, English; "!rules ru" - for russian and so on. But idk if that worth it...

    I don't think the server supports all foreign characters, so this is only for the forum

    I am not sure, but, for example russian characters have weird displaying only at non-russian clients - I am on my russian clients have correct view of cyrillic characters, so maybe it may work for current language versions...

    This is russian version of nN|Rules, if this could be usefull:

     

    Правила CoD4:

     

    Правило #0: Запрещено иÑпользование Читов/Скриптов/Скинов/Скроллфайер(Ñтрельба прокруткой колеÑика мыши)/Багов/Фишек/РаÑпрыжек (кроме CJ и DR)

    Правило #2: Запрещено оÑкорбительное или унизительное общение или никнеймы

     

    Правило #3: Запрещено Ñпорить Ñ Ð°Ð´Ð¼Ð¸Ð½Ð¸Ñтраторами или оÑкорбительно веÑти ÑÐµÐ±Ñ Ð² отношении других игроков

     

    Правило #4: Запрещена Реклама, Спам, набор в Ñвою команду, Ñайт или на Ñервер

    99.9% of abusive camping, but no wh here.

     

    A bit suspecious may be only:

    0:59 - enemy's head showed in the window

    3:42 - enemy showed a moment before got killed

     

    All other kills made from camping points and at well-known spots... But he was warned of camping before, so I banned him for 6 hours.

    Video are not so long and not rly much moments which are clearly shows smth, so I watched it few times with reviewing all moments that may be suspecious and:

    0:06-0:12 - aimed 2 times before saw enemy(clear moment)

    0:53 - aimed at enemy, but a moment later than enemy showed at UAV(not sure he had much time to prepare only with UAV assist, but  anyway I don't think, that this moment may prove smth)

    1:12 - started to aim at the moment of jump and before enemy showed at UAV

    2:39 - runned right at spawn to kill last afk player, who wasn't showed at UAV and moreover played in few last rounds (he couldn't know that this guy was afk and may look like he knew about that position; this can't prove much, but still suspecious a bit)

    3:20-3:24 - enemy showed at the window; player, hid in cover, but then he followed the wall and confidently left his cover without any interest to that enemy (seems he knew that enemy left that place, not proves much too, but suspecious)

    3:55 - same as first

     

    I am more than sure that he was hacking, but all videos which are using as proofs MUST be sufficient and have a plenty of sure moments. I've banned him this time, but pls, next time take more video to help us avoid of being unsure in smth and check all the video "with magnifying glass" to get sure that that's enough proofes here or even leave hackers not banned.

    I wasn't sure in something after watching the video few times, because some moments were saying about wh, some others - opposite. And I decided to watch all suspecious moment few times. Here I will try to explain my vision of all moments which are saying about wh/no wh here:

    0:05 - possible UAV.

    0:24 - guy showed at the last moment.

    0:42 - if to slow down, you can see, that someone were shooting from that position and he haven't saw guy who was a meter or two on the left(who killed Dom1n a second later).

    1:34 - looks weird, but in this case, i think, wh couldn't help, very possible UAV.

    1:36-1:38 - if Dom1n were using wh at that moment, he would notice Keniix93, while he was mooving down at the ground floor(seems really wasn't expecting to meet someone there).

    1:44 - it may looks like he was trying to hit this guy through the wall, but that was same guy(Keniix93) he was just spamming at same point.

    2:10 - yes, very weird, the only one explanation: he was shooting at the balcony where always sitting snipers(but yes, this explanation is not strong enough).

    2:25 + 2:27 - nothing weird, well-known point.

    2:56 - possible UAV.

    3:03-3:06 - very intresting moment, BUT right at the moment when Dom1n killed GULAG we can see that someone were shoting slightly behind of GULAG, but noone have showed and MAYBE sharp-witted player COULD assume that enemy decided to move the other side... but maybe just UAV showed that.

    3:30-3:32 - looks like UAV kills + regular camp points(moreover this is not only one time when he shooted there).

    4:14 - yes, looks like he knew that enemy will appear there, BUT shooted few seconnds before without result at close position, seems, where from BOLE came. So, very likely UAV shots again.

    4:20 - I can't give any explanations here: I couldn't saw CID_963 and it's too far for UAV. But maybe just not best quality of video.

    4:44-4:50 - checked empty camp position.

    4:56 - doomzdom001 showed himself by shooting like at 3:03-3:06. UAV also could help.

    5:02 - UAV could help here too, moreover he were shooting through that wall at the exit from another house - the only one point where enemy could move forward.

    5:05 - not so suspecious as some people could think: camp point in the conner of the house, moreover MMG790 a regular RPD camper

    5:52 + 6:11-6:15 - seems appearing of CID_963 was unexpected, and then he wasn't expecting for these two guys.

    + many spam shots during all the video

     

    Counting all this I think no wh here: good knowledge of the map + UAV + many spam shots.

    I have watched it twice and I don't think he was hacking. 5:32 is very suspecious, but that's spawn point + players regulary using that place to leave that house. There are another intresting moments, but I think they easily could be explained by active using of UAV. But maybe other admins will have different opinion?
