It's a 1 year anniversary of the game Frostpunk from the team who created This War of Mine and other less popular titles earlier. Recently I hit over 200 hours of gameplay, which, I thought, wasn't possible since many players complained on the lack of content. However, 11 bit studios continued to work on this game after release, updating it with more interesting features.  
 
   
 
 
 
   
 
So, what is it about?  
 
   
 
Frostpunk is a good mix between city builder, survival and strategy game with beautiful graphics and charming music. You're playing as leader of small city which has to survive through the storms in conditions of gradually decreasing temperature.  
 
   
 
All of your choices will have consequences which in summary affect 2 important factors of your citizens: hope and discontent. Once hope goes low or discontent becomes extremely high, your people will banish you from the city. But there is no way around it: during your rule you'll have to sign laws and make significant decision which will often lead to more difficult choices.  
 
   
 
For example, if you're in lack of workers, you can put kids to work but your people won't support such decision and will try to fight against it. Or, if you don't have enough coal to provide the warmth in houses, you can force people to work 24 hours in a row, but it will dramatically increase discontent and may cause serious injuries.  
 
   
 
 
 
   
 
What is the content of this game?  
 
   
 
There are 4 scenarios; you have to develop a good strategy to finish each one, especially on the highest difficulty.
There are also 2 endless modes: endurance (for survivors) and serenity (for builders); you can customize difficulty and even select random hazards to make it more challenging.

   
   
Each scenario can be finished in 2-3 hours, depending on the chosen difficulty. There are 5 of them in total: easy, medium, hard, survivor and extreme. The survivor difficulty is pretty hard and doesn't let you make even a little mistake, so you have to replay the scenario few times before starting it to develop a good strategy and anticipate the possible consequences.  
 
   
 
 
 
   
 
Frostpunk is a pretty challenging and gorgeous game with interesting concept. I would recommend it to anyone who likes survival or city building games. It's now at 40% off on steam, contains trading cards and achievements.

About two years ago I was looking into Prey before its release and a couple of months later was able to discover this game. After spending some hours on exploring the space station I would like to share my impressions (without spoilers). Have you already played the Prey or maybe you would like to try it in the future? Let me know what you think about it, it would be interesting to exchange opinions.    Prey 2017    The game takes place on the space station called Talos I, and you’re playing as Morgan, male or female character. Talos looks like five-star hotel but surely, it’s not as it seems: the station has been flooded with aliens, and you need to find the way to survive. Level design is gorgeous; you can spend hours just discovering the station. More than that, you’re able to go into space and look on the Talos I outside.  
Among all of the features I was mostly impressed by the skill tree, when after finishing all objectives I still had a lot of powers to unlock. And all special abilities offer you different ways to complete the mission.  
During the journey you can encounter different types of enemies, and I must say that they are beautiful (even if dangerous). Mimics, the easiest and the smallest aliens, can disguise themselves as a chair or another object to jump on you as soon as you enter the room.  
One of the most interesting things to do for me was recycling and crafting items. You can basically recycle items you don’t need in order to get more ammo, medics or new weapons, which I found to be pretty useful feature.  
An intriguing story holds on suspense throughout the game. Soundtrack and voice acting perfectly complement the atmosphere and make the game even more exciting.  
 

  Prey: Mooncrash    This ambitious DLC brings a lot more features into Prey. It’s not just a pack with additional missions; it’s completely new experience in terms of this game. Expansion offers rogue-lite elements alongside with new weapons, abilities, items, features and storyline. You play as 5 different characters in a simulation with the main objective to escape the station located on the Moon, which has been overrun by enemies.  
Each time you die you lose all your inventory and progression, but not your skill tree. Like this you can progress, unlock special powers and discover the map before your final run when you save all of the characters in a single run without deaths.  
Enemies and resources are changing each time you reset the simulation, what makes it more interesting to replay over and over again. More than that, some conditions can also change. For example, a room which was easy to pass is now suddenly on fire and you need to find a way to stop it. Or the power is down and you have to fix it in order to enter the location. It makes the game more challenging and interesting at the same time.  
 

  Prey: Typhon Hunter    Unlike Mooncrash, this expansion didn’t meet the expected feedback due to wrong decisions. This multiplayer prop hunt mode was released as a free expansion available for owners of the DLC mentioned above. The absence of important options, like mute microphone or bind keys, made the game completely unplayable soon after launch. unable to disable moth effect unable to use m14 as secondary weapon unable to use dog unable to use certain types of camos VIP is now also automatically assigned to you after reaching level 114 on the server.
This will give you extra features, such as being able to play as a dog.
