Hello people, 

 

Here's Our NoName IRC Channel.

But First some Prerequisites. 

 

What Is IRC?

 

- Internet Relay Chat (IRC) is an application layer protocol that facilitates the transfer of messages in the form of text. The chat process works on a client/server networking model. IRC clients are computer programs that a user can install on their system. These clients communicate with chat servers to transfer messages to other clients. IRC is mainly designed for group communication in discussion forums, called channels, but also allows one-on-one communication via private messages as well as chat and data transfer,including file sharing.

In the simplest of terms, IRC is a network of chatrooms where each individual chatroom is called a channel. Channels are hosted on servers, and each server maintains its own network of channels. Using an IRC client, you can connect to a server and join the channels on that server. By doing so, you’ll be able to chat with other users who have connected to the same channels on those same servers.

 

Why Use IRC?

 

- Just for a Change , plus if you will experience IRC you will see it is fun.

 

Which Clients are the best?

 

- Well there are many clients but I personally use Quassel.

-X-chat download link  Pros : easy file sharing without commands

Some Tips :

 

- Use TAB to auto select the person's name which last posted a shout/chat on the Channel 

   ex :

// Substanz : Salut M8's (now use tab and it will jot down Subs name in the chat box )

 

When you will write or use tab the person will see your text highlighted . (only works with clients with Color support) 

 

- you can ask for a cloak on #freenode Channel . this will hide your ip whenever you will join [on freenode network]

 

Ok, Enough Homework lets Jump :

 

How to Join A Channel

 

On: mIRC > mIRC options ( you will be prompted directly ) . Fill in the info > select your server Freenode > Now enter Channel name with # to join it . 

 

On:Quassel > Select the Network and Channel name > On Second time you join All the networks and Channel you previously  joined would auto connect ( doesn't work with mIRc) 

 

DONE!!!!

 

Freenode Network : chat.freenode.net:7000 or present in the preset networks
