Hi I'm Doge. CoD4 player since 2010. I started out on HC #2 server, then played a LOT of the Deathrun mod. I decided to take a break to play CS:GO 2014 - 2016, where I got ranked Legendary Eagle. However, I moved on and decided to quit.
I'm now online again after being inactive throughout 2017, having purchased a new PC in December of that year.
Occasionally I play various different games, which is something I'm slowly growing out of...
At the moment I play Scope on WWII with Dubs, going for feeds.
Despite being extremely busy, I've been playing this game with Dubs since December. Putting my old CoD4 skills to use...
Some of my best highlights ever in this one. I enjoyed editing it too. Didn't take long. I prefer the minimailistic style. Nothing fancy. It's a shame the quality came out so poor. You should see the rendered mp4 file... Crystal clear. I have also gathered enough clips to make another two videos.
I cant believe how fast the last 3 years have been! Happy birthday NoName! I’m really lucky to be a part of this amazing team! 2018 marks my 4th official year of knowing everyone from our early days! Here’s to many more!
So I currently hold the world record for the Black Squad, confirmed here. What is Black Squad? Well it's a free to play multiplayer FPS on steam. Would recommend trying it out if you're bored, it's not bad, but not too good either... It's like a strange mix of Call of Duty and Counter Strike. The training mission is the only sort of speedrun you can do on this game, so played it once and got the world record lol
You can't do any damage if you can't see them. Setup the graphics so you can always see enemy players. Play around with the in game settings. There are numerous configs online also. yitch3.cfg is my favourite. I use a modified version of it.
-Lock the FPS to 76, 125 or 250 for optimisation.
If your PC can't reach 125 or 250 constantly, use 76. I personally use: /com_maxfps 250
Practise finding a good mouse sensitivity, so you can turn quickly, yet snap with accuracy to any targets.
Make binds quick and easy to use that you prefer and will remember.
I have a 5.1 headset my self. But even with my old £30 headphones its easy to hear footsteps and other small audio ques.
As you get better so will your movement. More efficient routes, quieter, faster etc. Comes with time.
Find your favourites and practise with them. The quicker you are the better.
For HC, I use Bandolier, UAV Jammer and Deep Impact. So I can be partially stealthy with the Jammer Active, but lethal with assualt rifles.
Play with friends on our teamspeak server. Callouts make a huge difference. The more you know about the enemy team, the better!
So me and DUbzY decided to start playing promod again towards the end of last year. Here are some forgotten frags! I've got more on the way as I am clearing the hard drive on my old PC. Also, I'm planning to continue making highlights on my channel here:
I've been interested in speedruns for a while now, so I made an account at speedrun.com. Basically, it's a big site where all games and runs are recorded. My "All Ghillied Up" CoD4 mission speedrun got verified too. Ranked 5th place worldwide.
Off topic, I'm looking at recording my Playstation 2 gameplay. (Just for fun and any potential speedruns). It uses a HDMI cable to display on my PC monitor. What hardware do I need to record this? As I've never captured console gameplay before...
I use a Roccat Kone mouse, the smaller Kone Pure model to be specific. It was reasonably priced 2 years ago when I bought it (£50) so it must be cheaper now. Very responsive, with good specs. I can't remember the details but it ticked all the right boxes. The software is good and it is comfortable. Never let me down!
For me, it's all about the movement and the weapons. The fact that CoD4 was built from the ground up as a PC game means that it has exceptional attention to detail for it's time. Plus there was nothing else really like it on the market back in 2007. "Create A Class" was such a big thing, allowing players to interact even more and cater to their own individual style, without straying away from skill based play. That's just the base game, not even mentioning the tools and the success of many different mods! I love the overall performance of the game engine, it's not perfect by any means but I keep on coming back for that goodness!
