#36174 What Has Kept COD4 Alive?!

Posted by Puddingsbane on 19 October 2017 - 12:40 PM

Well the gaming industry took a sharp turn when it comes to new releases. Everything now is connected to the internet, constant updates, paid DLC's, alpha and beta testing, pre-orders. It's much more complicated than before and CoD 4: MW was released in simplistic times when all that stuff was still not incorporated like today. It simple and still works great with tons of dedicated servers to choose from, remastered version was just a poor attempt at milking your wallet and staying true to the current meta of game releases, because activision, and that was not the case in mid 2000's. You know how it goes, if it works don't fix it but you can still improve upon it.

#36163 What games are you on?

Posted by Puddingsbane on 18 October 2017 - 11:44 PM

Ahh so it's repetitive. Yeah that's what drives me away from games quickly too. :/

In co-op and single player is tons of fun. repetitive? not quite, it's a huge open world in which you can do what you want with a lot of easter eggs and stuff to find. i played it a lot alone and with friends and it's good. if you buy it (enhanced edition since it's both games in one package) you get even more content and for free (not just new dlc's that will come out). try it man, it's realy good.

There are moments, tho very few, where he breaks his play style and actually waits the visual conformation of the target to fire. But those are overshadowed by the rest of the sketchy gameplay, maybe faking it so he wouldn't get caught and slip under the radar, maybe not. I can see how this looks and if you ask me Fives made a good decission, I would've made the same.

I'm jumping between Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Shadow Tactics: Blades Of Shogun, Dying Light, Witcher 3, Just Cause 3, Prey, Doom, Heroes Of Might And Magic VII, Heros & Generals and soon AGAIN Warframe. That's it for now at least

#36019 Budget gaming mouse

Posted by Puddingsbane on 16 October 2017 - 11:48 AM

it does not really weigh much but when you consider the features it isn’t lightweight. it comes with a 10000 DPI sensor that has a 1000hz refresh rate and it's among the most precise optical sensor mice that are on the market right now. rubber grip coating, excellent build quality so check it out.

#35883 Books anyone?

Posted by Puddingsbane on 12 October 2017 - 03:33 PM

Got the idea for a little topic since I started reading again. Not something that I'm proud off but I've been a slave of the virtual world for too much time, replaced paper with a monitor, book with a PC.

I was a big fan of Nietzsche, H.P. Lovecraft, Franz Kafka, Dostoyevsky, Tolstoy, Tom Clancy, Clive Barker, Stephen King, Poe....

Recently I downloaded the full Warhammer Horus Heresy e-book set of 45 books altogether (yeah still on PC and not paper, 21st century don't judge). I'm currently on chapter 1, Horus Rising and it's freaking amazing.

So what are your favorite books, authors?

#35557 Pc not starting

Posted by Puddingsbane on 24 September 2017 - 04:59 PM

Can be RAM related yes, just try re-seating the modules and try to power on with individual sticks like subs said. Also take off the sides and watch the fans when you push the power button, if you see them trying to spin and then stop from my experience it's CPU (or socket)/mobo related, it struggles to get power over the 12V rail.

And try starting your PC without RAM or graphics card, it should indicate with beeps that something is missing so you can isolate the problem. If it runs the fans without the beeps you can tell for sure that your mobo is dying or is dead.

#35501 What was the last game which impressed you?

No, it should certainly not be.
