Hodarit 43
So today when i first started my computer everything seemed fine but then when i got to the log in screen, i put in my password to log in and after logging in and about 10 - 30 seconds after logging in i got a black screen but it was still lit up (not like when your monitor is completely turned off) So i tried rebooting, same thing happened. Then again... and after a few tries i wait for a while on the log in screen because surprisingly if i don't log in i don't get a black screen. So i log in again and immediatly go to task manager and try to disable some useless tasks and i didn't get a black screen... So now i've played the past 4-6 hours and i go to reboot my pc because i updated my graphics drivers, i get the same problem, i've tried disabling and enabling Intel Turbo Boost but that didn't seem to be the problem... Sorry for random letters i typed this on my phone, sitting with my monitor besides me wit a black screen. I have a i5 6600 and 1060 6gb Gainward, Also i forgot to say that i thought the cable was the problem so i switched from DP to DVI but apparently the cable wasn't the problem either Hodarit likes this Quote http://g.bf1stats.com/bf1s/pc/Leg1tBiltema.png
Substanz 4964
if you can try to connect your pc to another screen (maybe like a tv screen), it will help you to know if it comes from screen or gpu Most of the time, cable malfunction can give such result. MGSSniperwolf 34
it could be faulty port. try switching if you got several. or try to replug it. i had a faulty port once and replugging worked usually. Also go in and check your display settings. turn off 3d viewupdate all drivers
Puddingsbane 1153
Try connecting your monitor to the VGA/DVI port on your motherboard and see if it shows you picture. If it does take off your panel and try re-seating your GPU and tighten up the screws again while lifting the GPU upwards and connect your monitor to your card and try again.
