The magazine Edge released #307 issue with Call of Duty:WWII cover. It contains few more details about upcoming game and concept art which you can find below.
Single player campaign will be set in european regions, however multiplayer will enrich Call of Duty:WWII with real locations outside the Europe.
Gameplay in multiplayer mode won't be the same as in latest parts of this serie. It's going to be more grounded, strategic and realistic. Zombie mode will be based on real events, but for now we can't say what exactly it's going to be like.
More details will be uncovered during E3 (June 13-15). IGN will stream all conferences, here is the list and schedule.

New game has been announced with its incredibly intense trailer.
Joel and Ellie are continuing their hopeless and dangerous journey. The story takes place five years after events of the first part. The ambiance became more depressive, and graphics - more realistic.
Players will assume control of Ellie, who grew up and changed under the pressure of the devastating world in which she must live.

Survival horror’s fans can say that one of the most popular concepts for games of this genre is about fighting with zombies. We can call to memory so many examples, from old series (Resident Evil) to newest ones (Dying Light). And soon this number will increase by one more game – Dead Island 2.

Or rather, it has long been expected. The game was to be released in 2015, but the German studio Yager Development has been excluded from the development, and is not known whether they found a replacement. Deep Silver officially announced this news at 14th of July 2015. Therefore, it is likely that the game will come no earlier than in 2016.

Talking about the features of Dead Island 2, we can see that this part perfectly complements the existing series. It takes place in the California, extremely new location, but the varied combat system, rage system, weapons crafting, and hordes of zombies – they are all here. Also, the graphics has been updated beyond recognition. As we already know, the apocalypse is shown joking. Therefore some ways to kill the enemy may surprise us.
Hope, the development was stopped only for a short time, and soon we will be able to enjoy the gameplay.
