I'm a big fan of driving simulation games, whether or not they are like NFS series or just pure realistic racing sims. this one is just that, a pure racing sim that can't get any realer than it is.

Assetto Corsa is a next gen racing simulator designed to provide a highly realistic driving experience to whoever plays it. An extremely detailed simulation with single player and multiplayer options, Assetto Corsa lines up exclusive licensed cars reproduced with the highest accuracy thanks to the official cooperation of car manufacturers.

Game includes a career mode, a list of special and unique events and challenges, as well as fully customizable single player and multiplayer modes, featuring quick races and race weekends including a free practice session, qualifying session and race. The drag race mode, drift challenges and much more. Four driving assist profiles (gamer, racer, pro and a fully customizable mode) allow players to enjoy the simulation at their desired level. The game offers advanced setup options and telemetry for data analysis

This is just a tip of the iceberg what this game provides for you. Game uses apps that do all sorts of things, they can be found on the right side of your screen.

Turning your Essentials app shows you your fuel consumption, rpm meter, gears, speed-o-metar. Tyres app gives you insight in your tyre core temperature, tyre psi and more. You can change dynamic filters that change your color and brightness for a unique driving experience, they range from default settings, movie, natural, photographic, vintage and more. Settings can be changed in the cockpit (COCKpit lol) as well by turning your Onboard Setting app, you can change seat position, camera angles and position in the car to suite your needs.

Where Assetto Corsa truly shines is when you drive with the wheel, racing is smooth like baby's butt and immersive as hell. It offers a large support for controllers and racing wheels so in that field it is very user friendly. The variety of cars you can drive is big. With each update you get new cars and racing tracks. Game is available on Steam for around 50€ with all dlc-s but if you are into racing sims it's worth the price. Or you can download the pirated version like I did and go right in without making your wallet lose 44.5 pounds (get it, hehe). Currently available cracked version is 1.6.1, so if you want new cars you have to wait for cracked 1.8.

Graphics are gorgeous and graphics engine is so well optimized so you don't need a PC beast to run this game smoothly, even with some details set to meduim and low it looks good.

So, if you like driving simulation games that give you that real feel and you are sick and tired of Gran Turismo 4 but you don't have money for Project Cars this game is for you.

I've attached some screens for you guys down below, enjoy.

seems like a great game :) those graphics tho ^^

It is, i crashed so many times until my brain realized this isn't need for speed. cars handle like in real life, it's brutal. And yea, graphics are insane.

I play with manual gear shifting and it's awesome, do it wrong there goes your engine XD. Plus some cars have boost and turbo controls and you can assign keys for each one to activate them while you drive.

Honestly, this game is amazing! Using my Logitech G27 wheel with the H pattern shifter and pedals. Gonna jump into the career later, but I've just been messing with fan made cars and it's great fun. Endless options and solid gameplay. Thumbs up!

Glad to hear you like it :).
