Make Video clips really small size!

Recommended Posts

Hi there, I am stealing this tutorial from scruffs.

1) Record your clip

2) Download Virtual Dub :http://www.virtualdub.org/download.html

    (Video editing software)

3) Download the xvid codec: http://www.xvidmovies.com/codec/

4) Open your clip in virtual dub

5) Then go to video > Compression > Xvid codec

6) Save as AVI Let the clip render

Done

This compresses you video file so that it is a small size. There is some loss in video quality, so record in 480p minimum if you can!

I agree with @xReDiCuLeZz. Whenever I recorded for the few ban requests I filled out, I recorded using MSI Afterburner. But even recording for under a minute of vid, it was a good size file that, with my internet, would take forever to upload to YouTube. So yea i use Handbrake and it decreases the file size dramatically. If your worried about quality, don't. I can't even tell the different between the raw recording and the recording after putting it through handbrake. Also if you record in 60fps, handbrake wont break it down to 30fps to minimize the file size any, there may be a setting for that tho in case u really need a small file size or wanna convert to 30fps, not sure. Just my thoughts and advice on it :)
