You can join with any client and if required the game will prompt you to update. If you still wish to downgrade for any reason, you can follow the steps below. Hello, Because latest CoD4X update causes problems, here is a fast guide to downgrade to lower version and play without crashes againOpen Windows ExplorerPaste this into the address bar and press ENTER: "%localappdata%\CallofDuty4MW\bin"Delete all folders and files in this directory (e.g. iw3mp.exe and cod4x folders)Download v17.9 from https://qbd.noname.zone/client_179.zipExtract the files to your Call of Duty 4 folderRun install.cmd in the same folderRun the game with iw3mp.exe. It may tell you the game has updated.If that is the case, simply run the game again and it should work. You can verify by checking the version in the bottom right corner in the main menu.Enjoy PS.
